• Melange in the Mountains
  Sample the culinary talents of some of Western North Carolina's most regarded restaurants. The ticket prices are $40/person and includes all food and wine made by the participants. This event is put on by the Haywood County Chamber of Commerce at The Gateway Club in Waynesville from 5:30-8:30.

• Appalachian Lifestyle Celebration
  Protecting and preserving mountain history through a heritage themed festival. A full day celebration of traditional mountain craft, food, and entertainment. Demonstrations of Appalachian life skills & crafts, storytelling, mountain music & clogging, home-style food vendors.

• Mountain Street Dances
  Downtown is Alive at Night. Put on your cloggin' & square dancin' shoes and enjoy an old-fashioned mountain hoe down! Live mountain music, demonstrations and instruction by local clogging teams. Refreshments available, in front of the historic Haywood County Courthouse.

• Stars and Stripes Celebration
  Main Street, shops & restaurants open, sidewalk sales, live music & entertainment, refreshments, fun for all ages throughout the downtown area.

• Folkmoot USA
  Folkmoot USA, The State International Festival of North Carolina, is a two-week celebration of the world's cultural heritage through folk music and dance. Held each summer across the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, Folkmoot features performances, a parade and workshops by up to 350 performers from ten to twelve countries.

• Blue Ridge Breakaway
  The Blue Ridge Breakaway is an adrenaline pumping ride through county lanes, scenic byways and the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. The ride begins at the Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center which is conveniently located off of Interstate 40 and Highway 23/74. This event is sponsored by the Haywood County Chamber of Commerce. With a variety of routes specifically designed for riders of all skill levels, the Blue Ridge Breakaway is sure to please. Beginners and avid cyclists alike will find challenging rides to meet their individual needs.

• 40th Annual Smoky Mountain Folk Festival
