- Melange in the Mountains
Sample the culinary talents of some of Western North Carolina's most regarded restaurants. The ticket prices are $40/person and includes all food and wine made by the participants. This event is put on by the Haywood County Chamber of Commerce at The Gateway Club in Waynesville from 5:30-8:30.

Folkmoot USA, The State International Festival of North Carolina, is a two-week celebration of the world's cultural heritage through folk music and dance. The Blue Ridge Breakaway is an adrenaline pumping ride through county lanes, scenic byways and the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. The ride begins at the Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center which is conveniently located off of Interstate 40 and Highway 23/74. This event is sponsored by the Haywood County Chamber of Commerce. With a variety of routes specifically designed for riders of all skill levels, the Blue Ridge Breakaway is sure to please. - 40th Annual Smoky Mountain Folk Festival
